In response to persistent flooding and waterlogging issues affecting over 120 homes in the Nansana Heights Residential Estate, Bwino Engineering Company Limited was contracted to design and implement a comprehensive stormwater drainage solution. Our team conducted a detailed topographical survey, assessed soil permeability, and developed a gravity-fed drainage network capable of handling peak seasonal rainfall. The project involved the construction of 1.2 kilometers of reinforced concrete gutters, five cross-culverts beneath access roads, and three strategically placed soakage pits to facilitate groundwater recharge. Using durable materials and precision grading, we ensured seamless water flow from elevated sections to natural discharge points without erosion or backflow. Community engagement was prioritized throughout, with regular updates provided to estate management and residents. Completed within 14 weeks, the system has significantly reduced flooding, improved road integrity, and enhanced the overall livability of the neighborhood.
